ABC's of salvation

All too often God's plan of salvation is presented in a manner that seems too complex, but God never intended it to be that way.

God's plan of salvation is simple enough for everyone to understand and is as easy as ABC.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.  Titus 3:5

Admit

Admit that you are a sinner, and in need of salvation from sin.  All persons need salvation. Each of us has a problem the Bible calls sin.  Sin is a refusal to acknowledge God's authority over our lives.

Romans 3:10  'As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:'

Romans 3:23  'For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;'

Romans 6: 23  'For the wages of sin
is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.'

Acts 3:19  'Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;'

Believe

Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He is the only way to obtain salvation – to get to heaven. Although we have done nothing to deserve His love and salvation, God wants to save us.

Romans 5:8  'But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.'

John 3:16  'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.'

John 14:6  'Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.'

Confess

Confess your sin and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to others.

1 John 1:9  'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.'

Romans 10:9-10  'That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.'

Romans 10:13  'For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.'

A Prayer of Salvation

If you are ready to do business with God and to ask Jesus Christ to save you, the prayer below is an example of how to pray to God.
Dear God in Heaven,
I come to you in the name of Jesus.  I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need Your forgiveness.
I believe that Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.
You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord Jesus and believe in our hearts that God raised Him  from the dead, we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul.  With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead.  This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to Your Word, right now I am saved.
Thank you Jesus for Your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins.
Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.   Amen.
If you prayed and accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior we would love to share in your joy.  Please contact us so that we may pray for you, answer any questions, or help you find a Bible-based church in your area.  God bless.
